WELCOME TO THE MAGICAL WORLD OF KROSSWINDZ WHERE SOUND BECOMES LIGHT EXPRESSING A MULTITUDE OF EMOTIONS AND VISIONS.
Hi we are KROSSWINDZ from Calcutta India,we are the first band from the eastern region of India to release an album of English originals way back in 1993 called SINGLES.We have also released a full length English originals album called ONE WORLD in 2002 .We also have releases from RSJ records Delhi ,Chandrani's originals were featured in GIR vol 1 and 2.We have 9 albums in our regional language Bengali of which 5 are full length albums and the other 4 are compilations. We toured the US in October 2007-we played for Sandusky Radio in SEATTLE,and we played concerts at the following cities-Los Angeles,San Fransisco,Chicago,Jersey City,Atlanta and Seattle. We are focusing on fusion with jazz leanings right now.We are working on our new English album.
Krosswindz completes eighteen years - a time to do something special, so look out for our new English album this winter with songs in a truly unique World/rock tonality instrumentation in the inimitable style of Krosswindz. HAPPY LISTENING!!!
KROSSWINDZ Achievments in 2008
Krosswindz has been on a roll and some neat stuff has been happening the last couple of weeks.
Krosswindz played two rocking shows in Bhutan at the “India for Bhutan”Coronation Celebrations of the Fifth King on 6th and 7th of December 2008.An original song composed by Krosswindz titled Dharma King was composed and performed for this special occasion.

The radio host, Melanie and her assistants, were very enthusiastic about this number and their opinion it will do well in Switzerland and France!"-Stephane Dorin.Stephane was interviewed for this show and he spoke of his experience with the music scene in West Bengal amongst other topics.
The BBC Radio London did a full live interview and unplugged concert with KROSSWINDZ. They are playing the KROSSWINDZ original song EERSHA METER (from bengali album DHOWA),SHUNDORI KOMOLA and ALLAH MEGH DE (from album JHIKO JHIKO)on their Radio Channel
2. The song Dhowa from our Bengali album Dhowa has won 3 awards at Garageband.com

3. Krosswindz original song TOMAR OPEKKHA from album DHOWA has been re-released in Banglasdesh in a compilation album featuring bands from India and Bangladesh,the album is titled B ROCK
4.KROSSWINDZ has played many concerts in ASSAM, DELHI, BANGALORE, ORISSA, SIKKIM and WEST BENGAL this year covering the length and breadth of the country.

City rock hits US shores on world music ship
The winds of change are sweeping across the Atlantic. In a “first time” reverse of the trend of western names filling the racks of music stores in India, an album featuring city-based rock band Krosswindz will soon be out in the US markets.
